What is WPS in the UAE?
The Wage Protection System is the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation's electronic salary transfer system. Mainland employers must pay salaries through WPS, and late or missing payments can lead to penalties and work permit restrictions.
How is end-of-service gratuity calculated?
For full-time employees under the UAE Labour Law, gratuity is 21 days' basic salary for each of the first five years of service and 30 days' basic salary for each additional year, capped at two years' total wages.
