UAE daily and hourly wage calculator
In the UAE, the daily wage is the monthly salary divided by 30, whatever the number of days in the month. The hourly wage is the daily wage divided by the normal daily working hours (usually 8). These rates are used for gratuity, leave pay, unpaid leave deductions and overtime.

Where the daily rate is used
Use basic salary for gratuity and end-of-service leave pay, and total salary for unpaid days and notice. Payroll deductions for unpaid absence use the same ÷ 30 rule.
- Gratuity: basic ÷ 30
- Leave salary: (basic + housing) ÷ 30
- Overtime: daily wage ÷ 8 × 1.25 or 1.5
- Pro-rata salary for part months
Legal basis
